Boun Ok Phansa at Wat Chan – Morning & Evening Celebrations
Mark Boun Ok Phansa at Wat Chan with monks’ chanting from 03:00 to 04:00 and alms-giving and offerings at 07:00. In the evening, a candlelight procession and illuminated boats begin at 19:00, followed by cultural performances and fireworks from 20:00 at Chao Anouvong Park and the festival grounds. The main boat races take place the following day, 27 October. The wider festival’s riverside fair runs from 23 to 27 October in Chao Anouvong Park and along Fa Ngum Road, with shopping stalls and traditional food.
